As a parent of a young man with ASD, I know firsthand about delays in diagnosis and searching for solutions and treatments. We researched on the internet and talked to other parents of kids with ASD about what worked for their kids. We tried many of the well-known interventions—modified diet, dietary supplements, attention deficit medicine, and the list goes on and on.
When I founded Stemina, NeuroPointDX’s sister division, we weren’t focused on autism, but the platform we built to study the metabolism of cells and patients was very good at identifying differences in metabolism that are diagnostic with a high degree of accuracy.
From there, we discovered that these differences that provide diagnosis might help inform treatment.
